Okay, so there is some truth to the kind of patron who frequents the stereotyped comic book store and we’re not saying that there aren’t some guys (and gals) who could probably do with going out more who read far too many comics. Yet, as we move from adolescence into adulthood, this ‘childish’ hobby is often viewed with disdain and people who continue reading them beyond their teen years are seen as ‘nerds’. Driven by strong narratives with engaging and exciting graphics, they can be appreciated as pieces of artwork. Most kids, growing up, indulged in a love of comic books at some point or another.
